Guest accommodation is upstairs and features a comfortable guest lounge and bedrooms named to capture something of the personality and past of the owners, and of the area in general.
Guest Lounge
Guests enjoy a comfortable and spacious lounge to stretch out, relax and read, add their efforts to the jigsaw puzzles, or write postcards home.
The lounge is decorated with nautical paraphernalia and a shell collection which Ian and Paula have collected on their travels over the years. You are welcome to play the piano.
Special breakfasts
Breakfast at The Gables is an event. It is a time to relax and enjoy and a chance for your hosts to prepare you for the activities of the day ahead.
Start off with fresh homemade fruit salad and a choice of cereals, topped with yoghurt. Follow this with the speciality scrambled eggs with locally farmed salmon on the side and toast with a selection of preserves or cheeses.
A selection of teas or freshly ground filter coffee awaits.
Amazing Gables Muffin Club
When you leave the table you are given muffins wrapped and warm to take with you to enjoy for ‘elevenses’ and hopefully you will send Ian and Paula a photograph of your ‘muffin moment’ for their Amazing Gables Muffin Club album.
